How much is an average price for someone to build an online store design?

July 20th, 2010 | by admin |

I have an online shop and want a unique look. I use Volusion and have been researching how much it will cost to have a professional looking store from top to bottom. So far the price I was quoted is $8,150. Is this average?

I’m really not sure, so I would recommend getting 2 or 3 more estimates and comparing them to see if there is a big discrepancy or not. Also, you could try posting an ad on Craigslist stating what you are looking for, and see what kind of offers you get from that.

    Good luck : )

That is way too high! How does FREE sound? Catch – You pay one year hosting fee at $9. 75/mo (comes to $117/year) which is still a bargain! They offer to design it for you at no cost and provide unlimited toll free phone and email support at no extra cost.

The best route happens to be the quickest, inexpensive, and helps you to set-up a professional website that looks like it cost upwards of $8000. Furthermore, all of this costs $9. 75/mo. The solution I’m talking about is online website building where you choose the designs, colors, etc. because they have already done all the work so you can create an attractive website online without messing with HTML scripts, ftp. , etc. All you would need is a website browser like Internet Explorer or Safari (for Mac fans) which you already have since you are reading this, right? For example, http://www. gobuildwebsite. com offers websites that look like they cost $5000 but since you simply choose the designs and templates you like online, it costs only $9. 75/mo and that includes everything needed to get started such as a new domain name, web hosting fee, domain-related email accounts, etc.

For $23. 75/mo. , you can even sell your own products online with secure PayPal checkout that can be set-up at no cost by going to Paypal. com and setting up a basic merchant account. This is by far the fastest way to go online with a professional looking website that has flash special effects, background music, web contact forms that send the message to email address of your choice (this alone will save hours of work with scripting). Good Luck!

It depends on the amount of time that is needed for the site. The general rate for a web programmer/designer can range from any where between $75-225+ an hour. It depends on their skill sets and the more unique you want the site the more costly it may become.
