I suggest starting out on ebay. It’s great for beginners and they can guide you through every step. I sell videogames on there and use paypal for the payments. Try it.

there are several ways to start your own online store, ebay is a great start off selling what you have at home and with that money to invest with drop shipping etc

also upon starting your own store traffic is necessary for business to thrive so it will take some understanding of the internet to start off, but since ebay is highly traffic and no need of pestering to get traffic, it would be good to start off with ebay

Absolute best way to open up your own retail front:

    www. shopify. com

You don’t need to be tech savvy at all and it’s free to setup (they charge a % of sales).

They accept merchant accounts and Paypal.

As for rules, laws, etc. . . get a business license, register a domain, setup a DBA (doing business as) and go from there. If it’s just you.

You won’t go awry of the law as long as you’re reporting income for tax purposes and selling/shipping what you say.
